SERVICES
As your General Contractor, Blue Yonder Inc. will act as your agent throughout the design and construction phases of your building project, until the day when you turn on the lights in your new or renovated building for the very first time. Blue Yonder will manage every detail, including working with architects and designers to keep project costs down, contacting quality sub-contractors to inform them about the project, working with contractors to maintain project schedule, and to deliver the highest quality services.
Project Management
The Blue Yonder approach to project management is to focus on safety and quality. The Blue Yonder project management staff are readily available for advisory consulting and mitigation on each job. We also provide health and safety training and programs, always catering the training to the specific job needs. To ensure quality, members of our team perform regular walk-throughs and provide loss control services through inspection, constant monitoring, and regular reporting to project management and our clients. We also provide cost estimating and current progress analysis to our clients as well as “actual versus planned” monitoring and reporting of each project. Because we have our own site based accounting department, we are able to provide the most current reporting and status on any of our current projects.
Self Performance
One thing that’s substantially different about Blue Yonder Inc. is that we complete work with our own people. We employ the area’s top tradesmen carpenters and laborers, and our company attracts the most talented craftsmen that continue to work with us for the long-term. Having our own skilled tradesmen produces significantly better results for our company and added value for our clients. We utilize technology to facilitate the work, placing Internet-enabled computers on all job sites to enhance productivity and communication among the project team members. We’ve found that self-performance offers many benefits, such as having more control over the quality of the work and the ability to more effectively manage costs. We also have the capability to effectively and efficiently direct our resources appropriately, allowing us to tailor our labor needs for each project. Timetables for completion are also more predictable because we can maintain the schedule of critical path activities. Self-performance is a fundamental part of the reason Blue Yonder Inc. has developed a reputation for producing such a high level of quality work.
